How to Avoid Hack

This entry was made almost a year ago at FLYFF Forums and I’ll be glad to repost this for the benefit of other gamers out there.

Several questions arises everytime we get hack:

1. Bakit ako na hack?
2. Paano ako na hack?
3. Ano nangyari sa account ko

Comments:
1. Some of us sinisisi natin yung mga GM (game moderators) pag na hack tayo or nawalan ng items yung aacount natin.. malay nyo na hack pla ang account nyo.. inisa isa lang ang items nyo or na pag tripan lang kayo.
2. Some of us na hahack because of lacks of knowledge in hacking.
3.According to my observation ang 80% na na hahack ang account ay sa mga i-cafe gumagamit or nag rerent (no offend sa mga i cafe owners)

Reason.
1.(Human Hack)Ito ang pangkaraniwan na nagyayari dahil marami ang naglalaro sa mga i cafe so pag nag login ka na sa account mo may maaring mga mata na nakamasid sau.
2. (Tech or System Hack)Some shop technician deliberately install keyloggers just for fun.Shame on the shop administrators using this bad practice.. taking advantage of their customer’s innocence..tsk…tsk..tsk..

What to do.
1.(Human Hack) Para makasure kayo na walang nakamasid sa inyo mga mata just look around before you log in your account.

2. Pag may tao naman hindi maiiwasan sa mga computer shop try to hide the key that you type on the key board.

3.(Tech or System Hack) Keyloggers usually pag d ganung aware ang naglagay, makikita mo sa system tray ung application runing na keylogger my mga shortcuts ding gnagamit like for an instance Ctrl+Shift+f…. but mostly nakahide sa system32 ang folder ng keylogger… if my nakita or naobserve ka na folder ng application, luk for it… at un na un

4.Actually some keyloggers are hidden on taskbar kaya hindi mo cya pedeng tignan na lang dun…Pede naman ung combination of keys gaya ng Ctrl + Alt + F, kaso marami ang possible na combination depending sa nag-install nun…One way to check is that check the AV your computer is using and check if it is updated…Marami na akong magagandang keylogger na nakita pero kaya na cyang idetect katulad ng Norton kung updated ka…Check mo rin kung SP2 ang computer na nirent mo at kung may windows defender

5. They use startup list and goes with it the running process since its triggered on startup as any other spyware or malware most of them are but they use auxilliary name as such svchost1,svchosts ( password / document loggers ) or explore.exe but running from a directory of C:program fileswindowssystem ( online seekers ). This would be a challenge for the unweary eye but for those who seek its kind of a rush.

6.Rootkit style are the hardest one to see / they use a services method launching to run stealth in the task manager and for that go to services.msc and isolate it ( one thing you should be keen )

7. So the best way to proceed just to be safe is using an onscreen keyboard for your secured account sites.
For emergency - thats what I use, esp if am cheking on my online banking and sometimes corp accessing. Other than you have a software that do a snapshot every second bwhahaha… its impossible to capture since I use virtual keyboard and hmm characters are altered per my usrn and password entry.
