So what’s v8 about anyway?
Changes. Lots of it.
For one, to add a little thrill to your Flyffing experience, all zones will be made PK-on. This means that anyone can attack another player in whatever server or area in the map they may be, except for towns. So don’t end up like the weaklings. This is the time for heroes to rise and make a stand! Be with the noble warriors of Roika or be counted among the brethren whose hands are forever stained with blood. The choice is yours. Just remember that all actions have consequences, just like this feature has an entirely new Karma System.
The current upgrade items will be replaced. All the Power Dice will give way to Oricalkums and Moonstones for easier upgrading.
You will also be acquainted with several new tweaks in the game interface. The Private Shop is now more convenient to use, the buff icons are colored for easier recognition, hair and make-up NPCs are added and a lively red mailbox houses your in-game correspondence, among other things.We have also prepared some events both for the forums and in-game to welcome v8, so keep posted for updates in the In-Game Events section. We’ll be putting them there within the week. For the meantime, you can browse through the site of one of our partners, eFlyFF, for more v8 info.
How do I get it?
FlyFF Version 8 can be downloaded via auto-update just like a regular patch. But to make sure everyone has a copy we’ll be releasing updaters and v8 installers within the week. And if everything goes according to plan, v8’s gonna be patched on the Philippine live servers on July 25, 2007 . Yefs, THIS COMING MAINTENANCE DAY. So keep your fingers crossed and watch out for FlyFF Version 8: Heroes Rising!!!!

The v8 sucks, FlyFF is moe fun without pking on the 1-3 servers, it should be peaceful as before and not everybody running around killin ppl, all pkers will have fun but those who arent pkers will stop play the game, i hate v8 so im not going to play it

yeah… it’s absolutley different. It’s rediculus, yeah it is Heroes rising.. but the glitch is the heroes themselves are the killers. what justice is that? There probably is a thrill somewhere.. thrill of quiting..

The PK is really terrible.
I’ve only been playing Flyff for 8 days now, and I’ve been PKed 5-6 times. And I don’t even play everyday. The worst time when I had used a vitaldrink X and had only 20 minutes to maximize its use. I got PKed and wasted so much time going back to where I was hunting.
My two nephews, aged 6 and 10 have also stopped playing for fear of being PKed. It’s affected them to a point that they’ve grown to be so distrustful of people, even in real life.
What a terrible idea, to allow PKing in all servers! I’m uninstalling Flyff and recommending to my friends and relatives to stop any support for any of the levelupgames.
