A. Ragnarok Online 2 Download
Q. How do I register for the Open Beta?
A. Follow the steps here: Ragnarok Online 2 Account Registration. OR You may request for it, visit this link
Q. Why can’t I login?
A. The servers aren’t up or your account details are wrong. OR Your IP is block from accessing the game (most IP’s in Singapore are blocked)
Q. When is server maintenance?
A. Wednesday 9:00am-12:00PM (GMT +09:00)
Q. Where do I go when I start RO2?
A. Follow the bright blue glowing arrows through the maze, You can try the starter quest or fight some weak monsters, but leaving is much faster. Head past the arrows (using space to jump gaps) and walk through the bright gate.
Q. Why some text are still in Korean although I’m using an english client?
A. Because there’s no official english client yet. What we are using is a client translated by another gamer (60% english). Remember ro2 is currently available in Korea, by the time iRO2 is realeased for sure it would be 100% english.
Q. How do I move?
A. Movement is either through the WASD keys or mouse clicks.
Q. How do I fight monsters?
A. Right click the monster to start “auto attack” you do not need to keep clicking the monster! You can also use tab to select your target and F to engage.
Q. My monster didn’t drop anything, nothing drops anything!
A. RO2 does not have drops, you must right click a defeated monster and take the items from the body.
Q. I still can’t harvest a monster I killed!
A. If you do not get the fist hit on a monster you for fit drops from the monster, but still gain exp. Depending on your party settings you may not need to get first hit on monsters your party claim, however you or your party members must still get the first hit!
Q. How do I find quests?
A. There are 3 main types of quests. Board quests, Kafra quests and NPC quests.
Board quests are started by talking to the bulletin boards around town and completing objectives.
Kafra quests are also started on the boards, but have a bunny icon next to them (the same icon for Kafra as on the map). If the quest involves finding items you must finish the quest by depositing the items in a letterbox by the board (any letterbox)
NPC quests are started from NPC’s around the world. You can tell a NPC has a quest by the … icon above their heads (the /… emotion you may remember from RO1)
Q. I started a quest but what do I do next?
A. Quests mainly involve 3 targets. First you must either find and talk to a NPC, kill a certain amount of enemies, or collect a certain amount of items.
NPC: Look for a red dot on your current map, then all adjoining maps. If you still can’t find a red dot you may wish to try another quest.
Monster/item: If this quest was started in a field kill the monsters in your immediate area. If this doesn’t work to up your counter from kills or monster drops try moving areas and kill 3 of everything to be sure. If you started the quest by some scenery hover your mouse around the map and look for a new icon to appear. The icon is a spinning Pukui this is the harvest icon. Harvesting items like pumpkins and sticks can yield items required for quests.
If you still cant complete your quest start another quest and come back to it later. Remember completing a board quest often leads to a series of NPC quests, these lead to good pieces of armour unavailable from shops!.
Q. How do I get to town?
A. the first starting town is reached by crossing the bridge in the bottom left of the first island (reached from passing through the gate of the world)
Q. How do I get to Prontera?
A. Travel through the starting town and head to the docks in the middle of the next map. Talk to the npc on the fight and click the boat icon. Then wait on the docks for the ship. Warning you can fall off the ship into the sea! Once the boat docks talk to the NPc and again click the boat icon to get onto land.
Follow the path due east until you get to a small ellipse of land with a bulletin board on it. From here head north. If you reach farmland turn around. If you reach a lighthouse you have gone way too far north east.
Q. How do I get back?
A. On the docks take the NORH peer. The southern peer leads to Einbech
Q. How do I buy new skills?
A. In the starting town head to the shop with a + shaped icon, it is just above the Shield icon. Talk to him and select the third optinon, and click on the small boot icon to select novice skills. I suggest buying all the novice skills up to job level 5. and all the skill books to your first job you wish to play. You will most likely reach lv 10 in Prontera areas and the Skills NPC in Prontera does not sell starting skills.
Q. How do I change Jobs?
A. Once you have reached character level 5 head to the skill shop (+ icon in town maps) and select the change job icon (first one the list). Select your job, from the top, Swordman, recruit, thief, enchanter, clown (need to confirm)
Q. How do I get armour?
A. In the first town on the western side is a small shield icon, this NPC sells armour. Another way to get armour is by completing long chains of quests, or buying armour from the auction house towns.
It is advised to get armor through quests, as in Open beta the cost of repairing, upgrading and new skills is extremely high!
Q. How do I sit down?
A. Pressing insert sits you down, and stands you up
Q. Can I lie down?
A. Yes, Sit down with insert, the hold shift and hit enter (this will lock your chat window) in the bottom right of the chat window is a small keyboard icon, to the left is a small square dropdown, select the bottom drop down. Now type in /SNQRL it will appear in Korean, hit enter. You will now lie down. now click the dropdown and set it to the top option, then either shift enter to unlock the chat menu, or hit the keyboard icon to unlock.
Q. How do I repair my armor?
A. Talk to a blacksmith, the anvil icon in Hod town, or in the first newbie map. hit the hammer icon then select the first option to open the repair menu, under the left half of the menu there is a button, click this toa dd everything that needs repairing. then on the right half click the left button to repair.
Q. When I changed job I kept my original novice short sword, why don’t I get a new weapon?
A. When changing jobs you are prompted by 3 choices. The top choice is to change your weapon to that’s jobs specific specialty. This is how you currently acquire long swords, sword sticks, daggers, and damph rifles. If you select the second option you will also change job but keep your original novice short sword (and any extras the top option erases extras). the bottom option cancels the job change.
Q. How do I level up my weapon?
A. Once your weapon has reached 100% (hover over the weapon to see its current stats). Take the weapon to a blacksmith. Select the anvil icon, and then select the third option.
You may now select the weapon you wish to level up, and a dialog box with a fee will appear, click yes or no to either upgrade or cancel the action.
Q. Is there a weapon seller NPC
A. Currently there appears to be no way to acquire new weapons. In he closed beta the only weapons were those you started with, there is a possibility monster dropped items will be added in Open beta, or already are, though no NPC vendor for new weapons has been found.
Q. Is it possible for weapons to break?
A. Like armor once your weapon durability reaches 0 it is unusable and must be repaired. The limit on weapon levels is currently unknown. Though the limit of slots for the weapons upgrade stones is fixed.
Q. Can I change job again if I pick the wrong class?
A. You can change classes until the cows come home, and you can change back to novice as well.
Q. Special Ability? (Getting your old skill back “novice”)
A. To access the skill grid talk to the Job master, select the job master icon (+) and select the middle option. You will be presented with a 4×4 grid and a list of all your currently unlocked shared skills for every job, save for your current job. Drag and drop in the skills you want to use. Then when you have made your selection, click ok, you will be prompted with a dialog and an amount of money to pay (currently 0 same as job change costs). Congratulations you can now use old skills
To quip the old skills go to your skills menu and at the bottom there will be a second tab, this tab contains all the shared skills you have acticated.
Q. How do I whisper people or talk on global or shout, etc.?
-On the bottom far left corner of the chat box there’s a icon.If you click on it, it should go in this order, “General, Shout, Channel, and Party”
To whisper to someone, click on the player icon menu and selected “talk with” (2nd choice I think) or /w as blueverry link tell so ^^
/w – to send a whisper
/r - to reply to a previous whisper.
/a - talk to channel.
Q. How do I create or join a party?
A. to create a party hit the [P] key and select the top left button in the party menu, then type in the name of who you wish to invite.
Q. Are those two other races just for show, or will we eventually be able to choose from them as well?
A. Yes we will be able to play Dimago and Ellr
Q. is it really character lvl 5 for job change? the npc wouldn’t let me…
A. You may need character and job level 5, we are unsure of the specifics as most of us online chose to go higher.
Q. do we have a quest guide anywhere? I tried looking and cannot find anything.
A. No we do not have a quest guide. It is almost impossible to create one due to the scale and complexity of the quests. If you have the English patch installed things become easier, but organizing a guide right now Would be extremely difficult.
Expect to see a such things appear on the wikipedia website. Linking through the pages of monsters, their drops, and the quests will allow users to find a quest and complete it. However this requires a lot of community help and right now people want to play, not contribute, that and the wiki isn’t exactly easy to find.
Q. Can someone tell me what stats are good for which classes? I’m looking mainly for Thief and Recruit.
A. All stats help all classes. More powerful skills from the magic stats, more hp and magi damage from the melee stats. There are no “good” or “bad” stats, but it is generally accepted to pump STR and DEX (first two in character menu for clown, thief, recruit, and Swordman (and novice), and the next two WIS and INT (I think) for enchanter, however these 2 stats also greatly help clown, RO2 is built to not be dependant on one or two stats!
Q. Where do you buy capes?
A. Capes are generally gained from extremely rare monster drops at higher levels, or quested. Capes may appear in Prontera shops however the full details on this are unknown.
Q. Which dress\skirt is this in the shop, I see nothing that looks like it - http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4…/0504_2609.jpg ?
A. That is one of the old outfits from CB3, the “clown” outfit from level 16, these can still be bought in some shops or dropped from monsters.
Q. How do I heal myself as an enchanter?
A. Hit F1 to target yourself, if this does not work try to target nothing, if this fails RO2 may not let you heal yourself. Sitting down is far more economical to heal an enchanter. You do not loose SP, the casting time for heal is still quite long as well.
Q. Where do I get “ammo”?
A. Ammo does not yet exist, this is one would assume arrows.
Q. how do u change ur gender in the char selection
A. You can’t, your KSSN dictates your gnder.
