Philippine Ragnarok Online 2 on 2008
They say it would be launch this coming December but now I think it’s official. Quoted from GM Wauks:
The most anticipated MMORPG in the Philippines, Ragnarok Online 2, is gearing up to launch next year to give way for more feature development. The current features available are the job change system, Norman race, Norman job classes, personal weapon system, and certain areas in the Rune-Midgard map. The game is still incomplete but it really shows a lot of potential especially if Gravity makes good on their promise to add more innovative features in time for the launch in 2008.

INQUIRER.netRAGNAROK ONLINE, which started the online gaming craze in the country when it was released in the Philippines by Level Up! Inc. way back in September 2003, will have a brother sometime next year. Ragnarok Online 2 is currently being developed by South Korean firm Gravity and those who attended Level Up! Live at the World Trade Center from Nov. 3 to 4 got a chance to play an alpha version of the game.
Level Up! Ragnarok product manager Carlo Ople gave hackenslash a demonstration of the game and so far, it is looking great. The game has been totally redesigned from the original. Instead of using 2D sprites and pre-rendered backgrounds, RO2 now employs Unreal Engine 2.5, an updated graphics engine that makes RO2 a true 3D game.

i already have an account in one of the private servers stationed overseas.. its a bit hard to play the game since most the npcs still don’t have english translations with their corresponding dialogue.. i hope they release it soon.

it’s virtually impossible for non-koreans to register an account at the moment. I have a few extra accounts that I am giving away for Korea RO2. Just click on my name to visit my site and check out the ro2 account give away post.
