I have been invited for an interview 2 weeks ago at QTV. It was aired last night 10pm (GMT+8:00) on “SAPULSO” (a news magazine program). I was one of the 4 players who was interviewed. Aside from gamers, there are also GM’s and Professor who were asked for their opinions regarding impact of online games in our generation. So much for the talk, here’s the replay:

To my international readers, sorry if I can’t provide you english subtitles for the said interview. But I can summarize what actually happen on the video replay above. There are 4 Filipino gamers that have been interviewed, each of which represents a unique gamer characteristic. The 1st one that was featured is “Lemon”, he represents a “PILOT” or a professional gamer (a gamer who was hired by another gamer to play their character); 2nd one was me! /heh I represent the “SELLER” of rare ingame items and currencies, (I hunt for rare items, use it and afterwards sell it); 3rd gamer is “Marlon” he represents the “BUYER“of ingame items and/or ingame currencies to boost his online character, and the last one is “Ralph” a “STUDENT” who got addicted to online games, failed his subjects and then later on recover from it.

Too bad this topic was only featured as a segment of “SAPULSO”, it didn’t cover much of what a gamer actually was. Well at least we have been heard on what we are and why we got so addicted to online games.

Maybe you’re actually one of us? Probably yes, because we all share the same passion. Online games (specifically MMORPG) is not only a game anymore but already a way of life.
